To some of us, God just does not exist, and they will go to great lengths to prove that God doesn't exist. The opposite happens too. In fact, books are written to prove the existence of God. I used to be a non-believer. I have heard and read testimonies and heard testimonies from people who never go to church - testimonies about God's existence but I still did not believe that He is real, until something happened to me.
Throughout most part of my life, I've spent wondering if God really exist? I could not find an answer; to make things worse, I was totally against evangelism, as I believe doing so is just invading into other people's privacy and prohibiting them from choosing their own religious path.
In secondary school, I totally ignored God. I didn't like the "churchy people" who seem to have this halo around them. I tried Buddhism, and it fit me well as the teaching doesn't believe in a Creator God, but instead in evolution when it comes to human and inter-stellar existence. Buddhism relies on the scientific explanation of how living things came into being. Then. there's "karma" where you reap what you sow, and the belief that a person who dies would be reincarnated. Buddhism teaches its followers to do good, be good and see good - the fundamentals of all religions. Nothing could make me become a Christian - so I thought. "Never say never", they say.
